Why do people enforce European standards of beauty on non-euporeans?
In the fashion industry, the ideal beauty is tall, thin, straight hair, light skin, and I think they don't like big butts. So, what are blacks, latinas, native americans are supposed to do when they don't have those things? Is it right to say, ';I'm latina and latinas are curvy and are not built like whites?Why do people enforce European standards of beauty on non-euporeans?
Most of the European women have the cash to by the bits-o-junk that the fashion industry is selling. Therefore it stands to reason that they are going to hype a beauty standard that European women will readily buy into. The fact that your phenotype does not fit into their beauty standard is probably because their demographic research has statistically indicated that you will most likely not have the money or desire to purchase their stuff.Why do people enforce European standards of beauty on non-euporeans?
No offence, but it was Spain who banned models with a BMI of under 18, I don't see the US doing that any time soon................

I think those girls should only go if they wanted to. If the mother forces them, she has a self-esteem issue. You cannot live through another person. You're setting yourself up for possible disappointment. I think it's a form of child abuse. Look at what happened to Jon Benet. That's just sick. Killing a beautiful child because you're jealous.
I hope the family got the justice they deserved.
On a brighter note, there is nothing wrong with a toddler who wants to dress up, wear make up, and have people admire them. Some of them want it because they like the attention.
Im going to hav 2 say no. I mean think about it... i didnt start wearing make_up till 6th grd and once you start you rlly cant stop. Wenn yur lil yu dnt need make-upp bcuzz #1 yu arent expected 2 hav make-upp and stuff. and #2 make-upp makes yu age 10 times faster... so no offense to those mothers that put make_upp on their kids but yu mite end upp w/ a wrinkly 20 yr old
Well if they do, they shouldn't put on a bunch... my little sisters take dancing and have dance recitals and mom puts a little bit of makeup on them like mascara and lip gloss with natural looking eyeshadow..hope that helps..=]

Which beauty store has colored contacts?? oh and...is it safe to wear colored contacts without getting your eye's checked or having your doctor look at them first??What beauty store would have colored contact lenses??
Legally, a beauty supply store cannot sell contact lenses to you. They can only be obtained with a valid prescription from an Optometrist, EVEN IF YOU ONLY WANT THEM FOR COSMETIC PURPOSES. We're not talking about eye shadow here; or lip gloss; or hair color. Contact lenses are a medical device and you need to be fitted for them by a doctor, even if you only want them to change the color of your eyes. You'll need an exam and a contact lens fitting. When it comes to contact lenses, the risk of infection and possible vision loss is the same, whether the lenses have an actual correction in them, or you just want to turn your brown eyes blue. And there are serious complications, including blindness, from wearing contact lenses that are not fitted properly. Everyone's eye has different measurments and contacts don't come one-size-fits-all. And you don't know which lenses you need in which base curve and diameter unless you've been fitted by an Optometrist.
Call an eye doctor, make an appointment, and be fitted with them.

It actually says ';federal law prohibits dispensing without a prescription'; right on the contact lens box. if someone is actually selling lenses in a beauty store they are setting themselves up for a lawsuit from some parent when there child has a corneal abrasion or worse.

Ruby red....And in malls, like fairfield commons or viginia center commons mall.... Many hair stores have them too. I get mine in the mall... NO, u dont need an eyecheck 4 these

I'm pregnant with my 3rd. I understand that compared to you I'm old. However, My husband still thinks that I'm the most beautiful woman in the world. If a child is going to make you ugly maybe you should think before you act and GROW UP! No matter what, if you respect yourself you will always be beautiful!
LoL you won't be the hottest girl in school much longer...ya you will be pretty again after you have the baby and you might get lucky enough to not have stretch marks but being as vein as you sound...you probably will

Are PHEAA & PELL offered to students of Beauty Schools?
Can you get the standard grants and loans like the Federal Stafford Loans, Pell Grants, State grants and loans that you would typcially be offered at a standard college?Are PHEAA %26amp; PELL offered to students of Beauty Schools?
Yes, students can get Pell grants and sometimes student loans at proprietary schools like beauty schools. ie Welding, LPN, etc. Usually these programs are called Certificate programs - also allowed under federal regulations.
But they have to be a certain length in order to qualify. (For example, you may be able to get a Pell grant for the 1 year beauty school, but not just for the nail program. Or you could get it for a 1 year nursing certificate, but not for your CNA. Truck driving schools usually don't qualify becase they are too short as well.)
Some schools are not eligible to receive these funds however, or some will only allow the grants and not do loans. You will need to check out each school for sure. I'm attaching a link to the Dept of Eds approved schools.
Of course you would still need to qualify for the grant based on income and such.

Initially they try to just scrap the surface and not go too deep. The remnants are sent in for biopsy, and if they find some attitude in there they will call you back to dig a little deeper. By attitude, I'm talking about cancer cells. i had a mole on my neck removed. it was a bump not a flat mole. what they did was stick a needle in my neck%26amp;numb it.(sounds worse than it was) then they took this thing i dont no how you would explain it but- it kind was like a razor blade%26amp;they shaved the mole of. it was super quick.but now i have a slight scar%26amp;alittle brown do,which they said was normal.
the other thing they coodlve done was numb my neck and then do this surgery where they cut out the skin around the mole%26amp;then give you stiches. i didnt want that cuz stiches woodve sucked.
