Do you appreciated beauty in nature in your advancing years ?

When I was young' I never looked at trees, nor the grace in cats...horses

and other animals.it did not register in me

now I go fishing and sit and listen and look at wild life and the beauty of the trees noise of the insects, and even the beautiful buildings the paintings music etc are more noticeable and revered by me.

Do you experience the same, your views pleaseDo you appreciated beauty in nature in your advancing years ?
when i was 12yrs i sat with my mother at the railway station,

';look at that lovely tree'; she said, gazing at a gum tree across the road .

for the first time i REALLY looked at a tree, and saw it's beauty.haven't stopped looking since.

thank you mum.

and thank you,Denis C,for the reminder.Do you appreciated beauty in nature in your advancing years ?
Ever since I attended a sleep-away camp, I've learned to appreciate nature.

I'm awed every time I look up at the night sky and depending on the season, the different constellations.

Every time I see deer, or a doe with fawns, it's as if for the first time. Winter's coming but we can't put feed out for them for the bears.

I marveled at a Robin who built her nest, then hatched and protected 4 this past spring. I was somewhat sad when they flew off, but was so glad they survived.

If I see a Cardinal, Bluejay or unfamiliar bird, I grab my binocs.

I love seeing the forest ';wake up'; in the spring but I'm a little sad when it ';dies'; in the fall.

I love seeing the sun's rays as they filter through the trees and clouds sometimes, especially at sunset.

I've noticed in the last six years I am entertained much more by things

in nature than I did when I was younger and took all for granted and

barely noticed the different birds, and trees in a neighborhood. Or

which plants flowered and which didn't. The best things in life truly are

free, when you think about it. And really take in all you see in any

given area.

Isn't it a bit cold to be fishing in England now? What with the rain

and cooler temps? I have a friend who just returned from a rainy

vacation in Spain (Benidorm) and left England with the same weather.

At least, they had indoor entertainment, and a nice class of people

to talk to. So it was enjoyable after all.
There was a time that I didn't take the time to smell the roses.

My husband taught me at an early time in our marriage to enjoy the beauty of the four seasons and I even learned that their was beauty in our desert, especially just after a rain storm.

I do agree with you and there is a peace in my soul when I'm out enjoying nature.

Yesterday we had our first snowfall and it was so beautiful.

Thanks for the thought provoking question.

DeeJay.
My years are advancing and yes, I do see the beauty in things that I would never have thought about! I also love to fish and find it so relaxing. I love to watch the different type of birds that eat the fat balls in the garden and even question where the robin has dissappeared to recently! I love your question because to me, it gives life a really gentle feel to what is important (albeit family). The world is certainly a beautiful place if you know what you are looking for. In answer to your question-it does come with age!
Yes, I do. I have appreciated the beauty of nature all of my life. I have always been an out of doors type and I have never tired of the magnificent world that God has created for our pleasure. In the spring when I see a new fawn with it's mother, when I see a cottontail, when I see a quail with it's covey of little chicks, when I see a pair of Chaparrals and so much more I know that God is saying that he still loves all of us.
I'm 42 and my greatest happinesses in life are walking my dogs - any weather, just getting out there into the woods or the New Forset (where I live). I love being around nature and never faill to be thrilled when I see a deer of fox. I also love it when it's time to plant my pots and vegetables in out small veg plot. I love animals and nature and in the winter we put up several nut feeder and fat balls for the birds and just sit and watch them, ticking off which ones we've seen in a bird book. It is so much better than fighting my way around the shops. When I was in my 20's I would have never thought I would feel this way. But I am so happy with it.
I have always noticed trees,wild-life, nature, art, archcitecture etc... from a very early age and am still enthralled when I stumble upon something unexpected like last Sunday when I was out walking and I came across a herd of deer grazing.

I'm sorry it has come to you so late in life but at least you have learnt to appreciate it.
YES I do I never really looked at the landscape but know I enjoy views I dont know if it was going to north wales that made me stop and look or if it is my age and now i love looking at nature I can remember my mum saying about trees in winter looking like black lace I thought it was a silly thing t0 say but now I know what she meant
I have always appreciated beauty. It did not take me a life time to notice things in nature or any thing else. We just returned from the Outer Banks in NC. We went to see the dunes. They are wild, beautiful and majestic. The sunset was a picture in itself over the dunes. We loved it and stayed past dark, long after the sun had set....Poppy
Yeah though I walk closer to the valley of the shadow of death I appreciate more what natural life is about. I delight in the guests at my hummingbird feeder. I feed the middle of the night cat that visits. Everything that grows or breaths is a cause for marveling at the work of the almighty except for my neighbor's bratty kids.
I've always appreciated beauty in nature. I don't think it's so much something that comes with age, but it's just a difference in one's priorities. Maybe you're only now stopping to smell the roses.
I always have appreciated the beauty of nature and the world around me. . .The simplest things give the most pleasure. . . now that I am a senior, I just have more time to devote to that pleasure. ..
I've always been in awe of the beauty of nature, As a kid and a teen the other kids thought I was a bit strange because of it, but guess what it didn't bother me at all because they were the ones missing out.
I definitely appreciate the beauty nature more, I love all natural beauty trees, rocks, Mt's, rivers, streams, I can look at the sunset over the lake and get choke up over the beauty.
I was raised to appreciate the beauty of nature and I'm so glad, it becomes more comforting as the years go by and it's free, one of the few things I can still afford.
Nature makes my heart sing %26amp; eyes widen, also there is nothing like the smell of nature, whether in the front yard or in the wild~~to the tune of beauty.
i always love nature. that is the only thing still valuable on this earth. its awesome. i will always appreciate it. wish everyone would feel the same and stop using so much energy and try to save where possible..
I have always appreciated the beauty of nature. Even as a young child I would always comment on the beautiful flowers, trees or animals or the sky.
More even than when I was younger, an awareness of time. Everything, yes, everything beautiful. Eyecandy and appreciation. Especially the sky, especially at night.
I love sunrises and sunsets. And flowers, and trees. Even love watching the little squirrels and chipmunks play in my yard. I watch these things much more now that I have the time free to do so.
hmm, funny you say that, but i did that as a kid..i went through a period of my life where i thought this must be childish...i changed my way of thinking to the way of a child ..again...i feel closer to thou...
I always have done even when I was a child. I love nature and that is why I am a vegan and a wiccan. Camping in the countryside is my favourite past time.
Well I have 45 years to go to be a senior citizen, but now I lenjoy adventures. This includes doing things in nature and at times to relax with nature.
I do...I always have. I have been lucky enough to have always appreciated the simple things in life and the beauty in them...thanks for reminding me .
I'm only in my 20s yet but for some weird reason I think theres something beautiful about ducks leading their young across still water
I have always appreciated nature but now I am retired I have time to watch the birds in the garden.
The artist in me has always appreciated the beauty in nature. I just don't get out as much now to enjoy it.
Yes, I do!! I used to never pay attention to the Cardinals in the morning and now I listen to them change their tunes!!!
I agree with every thing you wrote. I was distracted when I was young.
Definitely, now all things make me wonder!
