Is it a good idea to have beauty contests in high school?

for student fund raising, i want to organize an event which we get all the hottest girls from each grade to go for the title of the miss high school. everyone vote on the hottest girl and ppl will buy tickets to see it and we can make a lot of money! do you think this plan will work out? the winners will receive prizes and this will be like miss teen usaIs it a good idea to have beauty contests in high school?
NO NO NO. That would be drama from HELL. Please you will have girls going on crazy diet and that will also cause problems. Try having a talent show. That is a horrible choice to make. A lot of teens already have confidence problems, and if they sign up to find that somebody else prettier than them steps up and wins, they will have lots of problems with their emotions. Imagine the rivalry and the catfights that will happen. There will be screaming, crying, chaos, drama, and people ripping each others hair by handfuls.





This idea will mess with peoples thinking, they will think that, oh i am so ugly, I will never be like her, i am so ugly I should just die! I think that raising money is a good reason, but you shouldn't be using the wrong idea.
That's a terrible idea. Teens are under enough pressure already in high school; they don't need to deal with seeing the ';hot'; girls parade around in bikinis. Also, why would you try to boost these girls' egos with that? They probably already think that they're the greatest. I could list a million more reasons, but all in all, it's just a B.A.D. I.D.E.A.
Sorry but this idea sounds like a disaster. Girls will be fighting and getting into trouble trying to be the ';hottest'; girl while the ';less hotter'; girls will be in tears or feel bad about themselves. I suggest you think of a different fundraiser that doesn't revolve around people's appearances.
That's a HUGE mistake. I can just see teenage girls cat fighting over some stupid award. It would cause so much more drama than it's worth.





And just think if you aren't so fit for being the prettiest girl. Wouldn't you self esteem hit rock-bottom when people are getting voted prettiest and you aren't even close to comparing?





Overall I just think it would cause so much trouble and it would turn into a popularity contest.
We always had modeling contests, and charged the people to come in, and gave the money to charity. We had a lot of silly costumes so it took the pressure off.
thats probably not the best idea....what would be even funner is a male beauty pagent...the guys could wear dresses and bikinnis...and do some kinda talent...my school did this and it was HILARIOUS!!!! the called it Ms......shools initials..... and alot of people would LOVE to see that!

yea it'll be all fun and games. we used to have them all the time in our old school and it never made anyone hate anyone else. just don't make too much of a deal of it or it will become catty.
