I would presume that one would first need knowledge of the cosmetology field, perhaps even certification as a cosmetologist, and also finding out about how to implement an accredited cosmetology (and/or skin care/esthetician and nail technican) curriculum. Some cosmetology programs offer a program for those stylists that would like to become actual cosmetology teachers.
