What do you think about beauty pageant's?

I was just wondering what peoples opinions are on them because I compete in pageant's, and its not glitzy, it's all about inner beauty and its also really fun and helps with confidence ect. I know a lot of people have their own opinions so i was just curious what you think. :)What do you think about beauty pageant's?
well im a guy so i don't know much about them. but a beauty pageant is not for dumb girls like others think. its hard to be in a beauty pageant so i respect anyone that is. so go in one and you'll have fun.What do you think about beauty pageant's?
i feel as though even if it is kind of like a bad thing since they're judging women on their beauty as long as the girls participating in it 1) enjoy it and 2) aren't shallow or like that the pageants don't affect who they are then i think it's perfectly okay for women to compete in them.
i think we as a nation are dumber for listening to most answers given by girls in beauty pageant's... and dont say that all those girls a really smart and going to college and what not... i know a lot of strippers going to med school... i have yet to meet a hot doctor

That reminds me of a programme i was watching last night about the 1st ever UK beauty pageant for young girls.. some aged only 6. The parents were really pushy and were trying to make their children look/act older. They should let them be kids. And to bo honest i think pageants are more about the way you look... otherwise what purpose to they serve.
I don't like them it makes the losers of the pageant feel bad and makes little girls think they're ugly if they don't win. It is very damaging to the losers they are just little girls and don't need that kind of pressure.
If you're like 20 I don't see the problem, but when you're under 16 or well like 12 it's just weird. Those little girl beauty pageants are freaky. Little girls shouldn't be playing with makeup, except for smearing mommy's lipstick on their face occasionally.
I think the people that participate in them look fake, act fake and are fake.
