What beauty store would have colored contact lenses??

Which beauty store has colored contacts?? oh and...is it safe to wear colored contacts without getting your eye's checked or having your doctor look at them first??What beauty store would have colored contact lenses??
Legally, a beauty supply store cannot sell contact lenses to you. They can only be obtained with a valid prescription from an Optometrist, EVEN IF YOU ONLY WANT THEM FOR COSMETIC PURPOSES. We're not talking about eye shadow here; or lip gloss; or hair color. Contact lenses are a medical device and you need to be fitted for them by a doctor, even if you only want them to change the color of your eyes. You'll need an exam and a contact lens fitting. When it comes to contact lenses, the risk of infection and possible vision loss is the same, whether the lenses have an actual correction in them, or you just want to turn your brown eyes blue. And there are serious complications, including blindness, from wearing contact lenses that are not fitted properly. Everyone's eye has different measurments and contacts don't come one-size-fits-all. And you don't know which lenses you need in which base curve and diameter unless you've been fitted by an Optometrist.

Call an eye doctor, make an appointment, and be fitted with them.

**EDIT** Torywife - You stupid, STUPID girl...when will they be giving you your seeing eye dog and your cane? What beauty store would have colored contact lenses??
i think you have to go to an eye place to get them
Excellent advice from Mrs SSG B! Take it. It actually says ';federal law prohibits dispensing without a prescription'; right on the contact lens box. if someone is actually selling lenses in a beauty store they are setting themselves up for a lawsuit from some parent when there child has a corneal abrasion or worse.
go to lens crafters and u can get non prescribtion color lenses doo that
Ruby red....And in malls, like fairfield commons or viginia center commons mall.... Many hair stores have them too. I get mine in the mall... NO, u dont need an eyecheck 4 these
None that I know of.You would have to get non prescription ones from an eye doctor.
You have to get them from the eye doctor, and yes, it is unsafe to get them any where else and without getting your eyes checked.
Many eyeglass stores have non-prescription contacts.
It's irresponsible to just buy contact lenses. You should get a qualified optician to fit them for you. They will measure your eyes to select a lens that fits well. They will also teach you everything you need to know about how to take care of your lenses and your eyes.

Go to your opticians and ask them how to book in for an appointment- good luck!
