Based On Beauty Alone, Boeing 777-300ER Or Airbus A340-600?

no doubt the seven-seven-seven.. i think the 340 is a bit weirdBased On Beauty Alone, Boeing 777-300ER Or Airbus A340-600?
I'll go for the A340-600 on looks as theres nothing else like it in terms of looks, the only single deck 4 engine aircraft in production. (B747 %26amp; A380 have 2 decks)





It may not sell as well as the B777 but you know a A340 when you see one with its 4 engines.


The problem with the boeing line is there nothing to differentiate a B767 to a B777 - other then its size diffrence, its landing gear and tail unit so it kinda loses points there.





Though I do think that the B777 family have a nicer interior compaired to the A330 and A340 models.Based On Beauty Alone, Boeing 777-300ER Or Airbus A340-600?
They all seem to look the same. from the side angle until you see the front nose. lol

Emirates do flights from Dubai - Glasgow and it flys over my house and it looks glourious!!!
beauty is in the eye of the beholder.


therefore we all apply our own idea of this to what we see..


I always prefer 4 engine plane normally but some 2 engines aircraft look superb. no real answer is possible.
The A340-600. Four engines makes it look so cool.





The 777 is the better plane IMHO (and the customer orders seem to say so too) but it just looks so boring. There are just so many wide body twins out there with wing mounted engines. The A340 reminds me of the old DC-8s or 707s.
The 777 hands down. The 777 is arguably the most elegant airliner has built since the 707. The GE90 engines are the largest of any airliner with 115,000 lbs of thrust. The four engine design of the A340 makes it look antiquated. The 777 is a true giant. Boeing calls it their mini-jumbo. The large engines (over ten foot wide intake opening) can make the airliner look like any other twin engined wide body especially when seen from a distance, but the engine and nacelles are as wide as the cabin of a 757. I also like the sleek blade like tail cone.

I like the A340 more, it looks sleek and streamlined. The four engines make it look like a proper aeroplane, too.
Niether. There is only one beautiful passenger aircraft - sadly no longer flying - CONCORD(E) . The other two are PLUG UGLY mass transporters Sorry, but that is how I see it.
Boeing gets my vote over Airbus anyday....

what beauty? these are two aluminium tubular busses
the 777 looks more proportional. with big, capable engines while the 340 has 4 little things on the big wings.





although 340 is a change in the scenery and stands out more, I still like the 777 better because its proportional, radiates power thanks to the large diameter engines and range as well as lifting capacity. looks great in most liveries. the 340 is too long and the liveries all seem a bit unnatural on it.
B777 all the way.


Bus is to long from front of wing to nosegear, I swear one will still fail.
The four engines slant my preference to the A340-600. I've just never been a big fan (looks wise) of the ';big twins.';
Airbus A340-600 all the way, think how much force those 4 engines give and the noise is much more powerful then the triple 7
A340-600 for me. The Boring 777-300ER looks too sphagetti like and the engines just look too big for its frame, plus the nose is just pure fugliness, if it had four engines, maybe the engines would have balanced out the overly long frame(like the A340-600), but it doesn't, so in my opinion the overly big engines plus the fugly nose and little forehead above the nose makes me pick the A340-600 above it.
Like others have said, i don't care if it is the 777 vs the a340 or the 737 vs the a321 or whatever. I will ALWAYS prefer Boeing over Airbus, mostly because their aircraft are faulty and have very ugly appearances.





AS someone else said, the tail cone of the 777 is very sleek, like a blade - looks very cool as well.





The 777-300ER looks very awesome, with those gigantic engines. I love the landing gear, it looks a lot like a hawk swooping down to catch a trout, prett bad-@$$ if you ask me. Im not happy with the a340's gear because between the two main gear there is a another gear that should not be there, and does not hang in the same direction of the other two, it looks funky. The 777-300ER has raked wingtips, which look bad-@$$ as well. As with all aircrap planes, the cockpit does not have a yoke but a small joystick, which in my mind is pretty gay. They should use yokes like REAL planes should have. I like the inboard aileron on the wing, it's cool to see it moving up and down. The a340 has......blah nothing.





Well, there you have it. If it ain't Boeing, I ain't going. If it's airbus, I'll cuss.
