This is for my Human Development project. I am wondering what you honestly consider beauty to be. Not what your friends think, not what the media thinks, not what your parents may think....what YOU think. Thanks for your help!What is beauty??? I need at least 30 responses!? ?

Beauty is in the heart. Attractiveness is on the skin. I know several attractive people who are ugly once you get to know them. And I know several unattractive people who are beautiful once you get to know them. Beauty is a person's ability to look to the needs of others. To be considerate. Loving. Giving of ones self.
In people in general........kindness and a sense of humor, an easy smile. Individuality and intelligence. I see ';off beat'; people as more attractive for some reason personally, but everyday common looking people are just as beautiful. I even like things like crooked teeth, haha. (Clean and in good health...just crooked) hahaha


In men...dark skin and hair. 6ft3, 250 pounds. Smiling eyes. Wrinkles around the eyes.


In women...medium build, neither overweight or thin. Natural make-up and a beautiful smile.


For both genders the general adjectives must be included and the interesting thing is is that beauty really is in the eyes of the beholder.


You may see a couple walking hand in hand somewhere, through your eyes they may look overweight, dressed stupid, unattractive and unsophisticated; even ignorant BUT through their eyes, they are beautiful to one another.





This is the secret. Beauty lies in the heart and the eyes of each person, when they look and know another. This is what I think.





Also consider that most American men and women are media-washed to a superfacial beauty. And as you know THIN is soooo beautiful to them, but different races are different. I live in Egypt and Egyptian men like women a lil' overweight. Typically, I think you will hear the same from black men and some Europeans.





Cultures and ethnicity have different ';eyes'; for beauty. In America, I am not a head turner. I am common looking. In Egypt, people see me beautiful. I think mostly because I look different (exotic, foreign) But also, once they get to know me, they say I have a beautiful mind and heart. So....is the mind and the heart the source of all beauty?





I have worked with women that were so pretty on the outside and sooo mean and ugly on the inside that once I ';saw'; their inner self...they started to look unattractive because of their behaviors and nature.





Your question by the way, is a great one and should get many people thinking......


Let us always ';look or the true beauty in others';.

i believe beauty is mostly inner beauty. self respect, respect for others as well, good personality, etc;.


and that plays into outer beauty too. beauty is also being confident and comfortable enough in your own skin that you dont have to go to the tanning bed every week %26amp; bleach your hair and cake on the makeup
Beauty is all about who you are. It's about being and feeling comfortable with what you are and how you look. Beauty isn't skin deep but it is what makes a person inside and out.
Beauty is the person inside. It doesn't matter your race, religion, skin color, hair color, size, or background. It matters who you are inside and that's the honest truth.
beauty is seeing an angel come down from heaven,making peace all around
