What arguments can I use for and against for this topic: ';Beauty is more impressive than character';?

One argument would be what someone defines as ';beauty';. Beauty is defined differently by different people and cultures. In other words beauty is subjective. I believe that character is not really a subjective term.

The glory that goes with wealth and beauty is fleeting and fragile; virtue is a possession glorious and eternal.

Sallust

If you believe the quote above then how can beauty which is so fleeting and fragile be as impressive as having the possession of good character which is long lasting. What arguments can I use for and against for this topic: ';Beauty is more impressive than character';?
