What is your opintion of baby/child beauty pagents?
I think they should all be stopped right this instant.
Babies and children are too young for beauty pagents, because they don't understand how things like that work. Obviously they all wouldn't win in a pagent, so most likely there would be tantrums. Every child would expect to win, and at the least, one of them wouldn't go along with who won.
Most of the problem is the mother of the child living her life through her daughter forcing her to do this because she, the mother, wasn't able to get the attention of people around her as a child. As the child gets used to doing it, she too has problems because thinks she should be the center of everybodies attention and if she isn't she gets foul tempered and has tantrums.
The other children in this family suffer from not getting near the attention that the beauty contestant daughter gets. So the whole family ends up with personality dysfunctions.
i think its horrible. it should be banned
we dont really have them in australia like the american ones, l tend to think they are slighly foul, little girls should not be dressed up in sexy clothing and make up that you see on hookers not women, talent contests yes great, but beauty contest is pathetic,
I think child beauty pageants are a mistake.They make children grow up to soon.
creepy and very inappropriate. it also places that stigma of the need to be beautiful on girls that are so young and impressionable. boys don't have to deal with thia and it's so destructive to young girls in our culture. so sad...
I think they are really odd and seem to be a feeding ground for pedofiles. It just doesn't seem right to put make-up on a child and have them dancing around in bathing suits in front of grown men and whatnot. I have never really heard anything positive about them. The only ones I can even somewhat condone are the mother-daughter ones... at least that way they mother and daughter can spend some time bonding.
child should act like child and not putting thick make ups on just because their parents want some money
